Q.  What are Coo Candles?

A.  Coo Candles are electric lamps, that when coupled with our soy “Coo Scents”, fill your home with fragrance without the fear of fire you have when burning traditional candles.

Q.  How do the Coo Candles work?

A.  Each Coo Candle lamp has a removable bowl.  Place one cube of our soy Coo Scents (sold in packages of 6) in the bowl for touch lamps and table lamps, and ½ cube for nightlights.  Adjust the dimmer to low, medium, or high.   The heat from the light bulb will melt the wax and spread the scent throughout your home. 

Q.  Will the wax evaporate?

A.  The wax will not evaporate.  Once the scent diminishes, simply remove the old wax and replace with a new Coo Scent cube. 

Q.  How long will the scent last?

A.  One cube will last between 30 and 50 hours.  The time will vary on the scent chosen, and on how high you have you lamp.  As you only use one cube at a time, one package of Coo scents will last from 120 to 300 hours!  Imagine how much money you’ll save over burning candles, or compared to some warmers that require three or four cubes at a time!

Q.  Why do your lamps have different settings?

A.  Besides the obvious answer that some people prefer more or less light than others, people also differ in the strength of scent they prefer.  The lower the setting on the lamp, the lighter the fragrance will be; and the higher the setting, the stronger the fragrance.  You are in control!

Q.  How hot does the wax get?  Can it burn me or my children?

A.  The temperature of the wax will vary lamp to lamp, and on how high of a setting you have your lamp.  Our recommendation for houses with small children is to leave the lamp on medium or low, and the wax will be slightly higher than your body temperature. 

Q.  How do I change my wax?

A.  There are many different ways to change the wax.  Our favorite is to turn off the lamp, let the wax solidify and then turn it on again on high for about a minute or so.  The bottom of the wax will start to melt and you will be able to slide the old wax out, and replace with a new cube. 

Q.  What are your Coo Scents made of?

A.  Our scents are made primarily of natural, soy wax with just enough all natural, high quality Beeswax to help increase the scent life.  There are many reasons we chose to use soy.  For more information, see our “Why Soy” page.
